Modern Cyclists

In the past, people looked to Amsterdam or Copenhagen, but today the love of bicycles can no longer be overlooked in other European metropolises. Cyclists move through the cities in a colorful, diverse and creative way. The choice of bike says a lot about who they are or want to be. The Berlin-based illustrator Jakob Hinrichs, rider of an old Dutch bike, has taken a close look and, with his incomparable line, has developed a typology that is a feast for the eyes and not only for two-wheel fans. From the trash cyclist to the speed queen to the beige brigade from the country, the "Modern Cyclists" roll through the city. Hinrichs' drawings immediately conjure up more images in the mind and the descriptions of his cyclist types become a pointed social satire: Modern man rides a bicycle! A guaranteed car-free book.
