Starship Doi

Aram is a third-century Dacian shepherd, watching over his sheep outside the Roman fort of Apullum. Doina is twelve years old in year 1111, and she hangs around the ruins of the same Roman fort. Mark is an Englishman who just arrived in the modern-day Romanian town of Alba Iulia, formerly Apullum.

In a surprising event (that involves no time travel) they meet aboard a mysterious starship. They are alone, they are frightened, and they can barely even understand each other.

And then, they have to decide the fate of the Moon war. And then... it gets a bit worse. (Spoiler: it actually gets a lot worse.)
