The avifauna of the region includes representatives from both thePalaearctic and Oriental regions, with a wide range of Arctic,Temperate and sub-Tropical species, and quite a number of endemics. Allbirds recorded in the region are included making this the first singlevolume guide ever devoted to the eastern Asian avifauna.
