Documentary about the people who live along the Grande Raccordo Anulare highway that encompasses the Italian city of Rome. Built in 1948, the GRA was designed to give inhabitants of the region easy access to the city and remains, to this day, one of the busiest roads in Italy being used by around 160,000 vehicles each day. The film follows various individuals as they go about their lives including a nobleman and his daughter living in a cramped one-room apartment; a botanist trying to put an end to a plague of insects killing palm trees; a prince who has converted his castle into a bed and breakfast, a theatre and more; a paramedic delivering first aid to those in need; and an eel fisherman who is one of the last of his kind.
