Gianni Berengo Gardin tells a true Italian story through his photographs: the production of the Acquarello rice. Gianni Berengo Gardin has produced a story in images, with distinct and interwoven visions, of a company, Acquerello , that is an integral part of Italian manufacturing and domestic culture. Acquerello is the ultimate Carnaroli “Extra” rice, produced and packed by the Rondolino’s family on the Colombara farm, in the heart of Vercel - li province. From big to small, detail to landscape, human figures to great infrastructures, this is the tale of people, machines, and factories con - nected by a history of passion passed trough faith in ideas, in innovation, and in domestic life, beginning with the relationship with the land. The fundamental role assigned to photography is that of translating a feeling into an image; love for the land is the vibrating center of a produc - tive process that distinguishes the history of this company.
