The lettering book first covers the basics—such as pen styles, angles, and hand positions; letter heights and spacing; and practice strokes—before offering advanced techniques for rendering several calligraphic alphabets, including Sans Serif, Roman, Chancery Cursive, Uncial, Black Letter, and Batarde.
