Acoustic Thought

Snejanka Mihaylova was commissioned by If I Cant Dance, I Dont Want To Be Part Of Your Revolution to produce a new work as part of Edition V Appropriation and Dedication. Her practice is located at the intersection of philosophy and performance, thinking, and theatre. This book is the physical outcome of her project, which centres around the aural aspect of the thought processes manifested in the modes of singing and writing, and is based around early Christian Gnostic texts in Coptic found in the Nag Hammadi Codex II. The publication is done in collaboration with the psychoanalyst David Jeroham, graphic designer Philip Baber, and composer Lisa Holmqvist.
